2016..... best and worst..
« on: January 02, 2017, 04:58:26 PM »
So what were some of your best and worst days of 2016?

One of my worst was being in the ICU at the UofA for pneumonia..That sucked big time.  :(

But one of my best far outweighs that by a mile.  :)

Fishing with my best friend and letting her catch the biggest one. ;D

The worst is like it has been for the last few years, dealing with the chronic pain from a broken pelvis and back after a horse rolled on me a few years ago. The best is still be able(although painful at times) to go hunting and to the mountains on horses with my family. I'm above ground, so very thankful.

This is hard for me because in all honesty I have nothing that I feel was bad. Even though we are seeing some tough times in our province and country my household was provided for very well. Our boys stayed steady at work and I had a good year as well. Everyone stayed in good health our Grandchildren grew like weeds.
I am humbled everyday I think of how gracious my Lord is to me and my household.

The best -  I survived 44 yrs. of living with my good wife, lucky girl. ;D.  A fantastic family Christmas.  My CLL not getting worse, to where I require treatment, my son and his family all healthy and doing well.  Getting my arse out of the house with my .204 to give the coyotes something to think about before they end up in the box.

The worst - we are still dealing with our daughter's metastatic cancers and having to take her to the Cross for monthly scans and updates. We have been informed that it is stable, however, sometimes one wonders, having dealt with cancer in the family before.

For me it was all good.  Family stayed all healthy and that is the main thing.

I was going to say the bad was being too busy at work with very little time off, but in these times, that could be viewed as a good thing.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

2016 was a good year.  Had some slow times with work but some if that was due to a lower back issue.  Always shrugged off back injuries but i tell you that was a wake up call. To those of you like me that lift heavy things without much thought of proper body mechanics trust me it will catch up to you and without warning.  For me it was putting on my socks in the morning after a day of heavy lifting.

Highlights would would be some of the great fishing trips
had.  Kids got some nice fish. Old man got his best laker to date. Awesome seeing the smiles after hooking up with a beauty.
