I have to disagree Justin. I think most over there are decent people, they have their problem people, true, but it's no different here. Keep in mind they have a massive amount of members but the bulk of them don't post much, many of them lurk there too or rarely go there.

I agree to the fact that lurkers are a good thing, eventually they might want to comment on something and sign up.

Sorry Justin to call people you really don't know maggots is pretty low. I'd bet you actually know 1% of the people on the other forums so to group every member as maggots is a false accusation. Sure there are guys we all don't like but as a whole they are fellow outdoorsman and decent people!

Disagree:

Nothing was ever accomplished by keeping something hid. If someone has something to say they can say it. but if they just want to watch and be entertained thats good as well where's the harm

If at some point it looks elitist or an old boys club the perception will win out regardless of the reality.

I've been Rocks on every forum I've been on. Never been under a different name. Been on AO since it started, old board and member #60 on the current one (Rocks because I'm a geologist and that was my nickname at work).

This board is OK but i think what a lot of people think is it's just the banned guys from AO on here. I like to check it out cuz there's a few guys i really miss on AO. What this board needs is a bunch more traffic, then you'll see more participation.

Actually Rocks out of the over 800 members on here I believe there are only about 3 or 4 that were banned from the zoo,, most of us have just left on our own..

I bet I have met a scary amount of people from AO at sportsmen shows boat shows gun shows WSS excetra. Of course there not all maggots some are worms.

It wasent ment to be blancket statement.

Yeah what walleyes said...I still have an open account there but I feel more at home here rather than the AO zoo.

However I will say that there are a lot of goodfolks at AO who I wished would join us here..

You may be right, when I visit here I see you, SG, Tuc, Nube, JC, and more recently Duffy, I'm sure there's a few more. A few of you guys I've been reading for years and enjoy your posts. And I'm not harping on you guys, just telling you how I see it. If this site becomes sign in only i doubt if I'll take the time to visit it much.
