I've owned 2 trucks, both toyotas.  The old one was early 90's amazing truck, solid, but rusted like crazy. The new one is an 08, nothing but trouble, built like a car, not meant for off road use compared to the old ones.....Ford is my next purchase

Seriously, it's hard to say which is the best, depends on your needs/budget.  We're going to be looking for a new vehicle soon.  Like the looks of the GMC Suburban XL.  Does Ford have a similar model?  The reason I'm asking about Ford is that with a Costco membership, you get an extra $1000 off.

Ford and Toyota did not need a bailout when everyone else did.  Could that maybe have an impact on how the newer vehicles are being build now?

For half tons and quarter tons Toyota all the way.  We have had our old 1981 Toyota in places I wouldn't have even taken my quad.  Otherwise if you are going 3/4 ton or more; DURAMAX rules.  GM all the way.
