I never tried a fire, i did have my wall tent stove but never used it , I just had so much going on all the time. I will try the fire for sure and the skirt ,now that i understand it is a must for that.
I did use the rope and walked around it but could not figure the tie off part of it.
The two ropes that come off the very center at the top where the W is located was another tie off point.
I was able to hoist the canvas with a pole that had 3 tie off points in the center.
With some gained knowledge i would like to construct a second one and make a few mods. the size was perfect though. 12' high and 12' diameter inside.

Yes with the graffiti you would recognize it for sure. If the opportunity ever happens ,yes the tea will be on.  You were a big help , Really !!

I gave my Wife lots of credit so i can get to her to help me a second time, maybe this winter it will make a great project.

You don't "need" a skirt, but it is much more comfortable with one.

You did tie the canvas to a pole Before hoisting it, right?  ;)

Watch this vid for setting up the poles. It may answer some questions. The tie rope is pulled tight and anchored to the ground inside the teepee after the canvas is on. Hammer in a piece of rebar or a Tire iron for the anchor. The rope is not "Tied" around the poles, just wrapped.
