Anyone here from Manitoba?
« on: June 01, 2019, 05:21:46 PM »
I have a job offer there so naturally have a ton of questions.
At this point I am hardly considering it as I do not want to leave alberta .
But have to look at all options.
This constant one step forward two steps back b.s in the natural resource sector is  getting real old after 23 yrs.

I believe they still make you wear a orange costume there while hunting?lol
But hey there is caribou hunting.

I'm not from Manitoba but I did drive across it a few times..  ;D

I do have a friend that moved back to Manitoba when he retired and he's always giving me the gears about how good the fishing is there compared to the Hinton area.

And by the pics that I see I'd have to give him that one. :(

But then they don't have mountains.  ;D

True. They definitely have us beat in the lake department.
Wonder if they have any other bassakward fish and game rules like the blaze orange b.s a guy would have to contend with.
Maybe you can get a moose draw more then every 6 years there!?

I've been watching quite a bit of fishing content from out that way and hope to make a trip out there, sure looks good and lots of places you can drive to.

W101 gave me a breakdown of Manitoba fishing on this forum. I think he even mentioned "catfishing".

To answer the OP

I lived in Brandon for a few years ....liked it a lot .
Kind of Central to all things Fishing and Hunting .
One more tax ....to pay ...

You didn't say where but avoid Winnipeg .....just like Edmonton
      But a shallower River Valley...
