Bear or Cougar den?

While shed hunting last spring I came across a den that I origanally thought was from a bear. I was showing a friend a picture of it and he figures it's a cougar den. What do you guy's think?

Almost looks manmade by the way the rocks are placed and hayed at the entrance.

I still think it's a bear den. It's definately not man made, just a huge rock bluff on the side of a cutblock. I'll bet the entrance is plugged solid with sticks and grass come December. I'll have to set a camera up in October to find out.

But seriously, do cougars even make dens?  I would assume bear or coyote or wolf.

Female cougars will den up to have their kittens, other than that they don't use dens. Its probably a bear den with an entrance that big. I doubt if foxes or yotes would use it.
