best headlamp

Im needing a new head lamp.  Needs to be REALLY bright so I can check snarea at night.

Seems cheap but lots of good reviews

I looked at the really expensive ones and they don't seem to make anything with high lumens.

Just looked at both of them.  The Petzl would have a huge advantage just based on the weight alone.  The Arespark weighs 408 grams while the petzl is 85 grams.  I would like to test both but the 408 would be very heavy for me.

Those head lamps someone suggested don't put out enough light at all.


I ended up ordeirng the one from amazon and it already arrived last night.  I figured for it being so cheap, if it doesn't work than no real loss. If it lasts just a season than its still orth the money

I charged it for a couple hours and went outside with it (even though the charger didn't indicate battery was charged).  I actually couldn't get over how bright it is.  Brightest head lamp I've ever used.

Anyways I'll see how it goes with this cheapy.  I have 2 concerns.  1)the charger never seems to indicate its charged by turning green despite a long time being plugged in.  2) the rechargable batteries are not available in north america to my knowldge.  They are a ridiculously odd size.  If they shit the bed, the whole head lamp is junk.
