Big Buck Mag. news
« on: January 28, 2014, 08:16:04 AM »
I picked up the Winter issue of Big Buck the other day.
I usually turn to the Editorial and read what Garry Donald has to say.  I don't always agree with his viewpoint but am always ready to listen to his take on things.  The line on the map separates Alberta and Saskatchewan but the deer hunting situation is pretty much the same.

Garry has sold the magazine and that news was a big surprise.  But he has sold it to Rob Manly who promises to keep it pretty much the same.  Garry will still be involved and contributing pictures and the odd article of, you guessed it BIG BUCKS.

It isn't "the end" of anything but just a change that may be for the better in the long run.

A couple years ago I was up in the Yukon and went over to a magazine rack in Dawson city.  I am not sure how far Dawson is from the nearest deer as it is caribou and moose country.  But there on the rack was Big Buck magazine and I bought a copy to read when I wasn't fishing for grayling of looking at the fantastic scenery.
