Nice to see something fresh in western Canada.
I see Kevin Wilson will write for it, I hope they don't put any of TJ's bullshit in there.

I agree. Will be nice to see something different. But I won't purchase if it has the same input as some of the others.

Hopefully it's a good mag.. My hope is it doesn't turn into a political rag for the owners to vent their personnel opinions on others like our Alberta rag has turned into.

Sounds like good news about the advertising deal Paul. Two growing venues getting together,, can't be a bad thing.

Hopefully it's a good read, hopefully they get a variety of contributers. I know that writing today for anything published will have way more then its fair share of critics. Social media has such an impact on everything , and with the armchair quarterbacks weighing in on everything it would be hard to please everybody.
Every now and then I'll sift thru dads 60-70's era outdoor life mags and let some excellent articles and writers take me off to another place and time. Zane Grey, Hemmingway, Jack, Charles Elliot , Townsend  Whelen.  Man they could spin some yarns , excellent writing . The only approval they needed was the editor and their conscience .  And they told it like it was , misses , rushed shots, spooked game , getting winded or plain out witted none of the fluff you get today where it's always one shot bang flops  .  For myself I enjoy those old stories a little more , that being said I believe it would have been generally more well recieved  on an article by article bases then today.
I'm from the country , and I like it that way!!!

Hi Guys,

A friend and I are the guys putting this together.  It has been an insane amount of work but will be worth it.  We are confident the mag will stand up to comparisons of any others out there.  The motivation behind us doing the magazine was as another venue to promote hunting so that will be the focus, and the positive aspects and experiences of hunting.  We are going to focus on 'real' hunting stories from regular guys who love the outdoors.  There wont be near as much of the professional hunter, and outfitter type stuff as some other publications, and also less advertising.  The majority of the content will be reader submitted stories along with some columns/articles focusing on the great things about the outdoors.  Here is our first cover, the first edition will be going to the printers in the next few weeks!  We have some great Alberta content in this issue and some good stuff lined up for the second.  If you guys have any good pictures and/or hunts and are interested in getting them into the magazine please contact me on here or chad@biggameillustrated.com.  We are also looking for more pictures of kids in the outdoors.  We have a 'future of hunting' section where we are going to pack in as many kids pictures as we can.  Thanks for the interest and thanks for letting me post here Paul.

Paul, was recently looking through their website and noticed AS is not linked onto 'Sponsors and Friends'. Is it in process or did they forget about us?
