« on: September 13, 2013, 10:26:51 PM »
Saw this ad on the board (it's served by google we don't control it)

It says find a Canadian tire pro shop??? Not getting it since when did Canadian tire open a pro shop for hunting? I find it hit and miss depending on which store you're in. You guys?

I know the guy that owns the store on Macleod Trail in Calgary I am Pretty sure he has a few stores also seen him in the store over buy west ed mall and in Red Deer.  The man is an avid outdoorsmen and shooter.  I won a small rifle shoot that he was at and asked me what caliber I was shooting 6mm rem I replied later a gunsmith friend of mine told me he had him build Three rifles lol.

The most selection I have seen in any Canadian Tire is by far Red Deer South. They have quite a large inventory there.

It was mentioned at the Nationals last week that the Shawnessy location was going to have a fly fishing pro shop put in.

I had heard that Leduc CT had guns so I stopped in there on my way to Edm. one day.  They do have quite a lot.

Somewhere I saw that Draton Valley does also but I have not been there in some time.

The Canadian Tires in lethbridge are pretty weak when it comes to hunting and fishing gear, and definitely no expertise.

Same with the one in Hinton.
They have some stuff for fishing but next to nothing for ammo.

The one in Cold Lake has a pretty darn good selection of stuff but man,, what a bunch of idiots running it.. You would think they are dealing in drugs the way they go about it.. Just can't be bothered to give them a whole lot of my time.. It's a shame too cause they really do have a lot of good stuff.. But the crack head they have selling the ammo and guns is,, well,, I'll just leave it at that..

The one in Slave Lake just completley renovated their hunting / fishing section. Theyve got a decent amount of stuff and now they carry guns. The staff is beyond awful though. I have yet to meet one that speaks fluent english. Two days ago I called them looking for smoke sticks for Moose. Made it CRYSTAL clear to the person I spoke to that I needed smoke sticks for MOOSE. Guaranteed me he had lots. So we drove the 90 km in and discover the filipino guy dosnt know the difference between Moose and Elk. One of several "Canadian Tire sucks" stories lol.

I am so glad I do not have to go there for much anymore.
