Chris David

I was having lunch today with one of our guys from Drayton Valley and he said that Chris David is up on Wildlife charges. Anyone else hear of anything about this. apperently his show was cancelled after his investors and sponsors got word of the charges.

Hadn't heard anything but then I am not a huge fan of hunting shows so dont really keep up on the gossip.  Hunting is about time in the field with friends and family for me.

Haven't heard a thing here. He is on my Facebook and you would think something something would leak out there. Hard to go on hearsay without cold hard facts. Innocent until proven guilty!

Which show is he involved with.

As stated hard to make a comment before knowing the facts. Wildlife charges can be any number of things. Did he pop a grouse out the window of his pickup on a lease road someplace, did he get caught having a cold one while calling a moose ( man who hasnt done any number of these )or did he do something blatantly stupid like poaching animals. Big differance to me anyways.

What I heard is yes, he was charged, with several violations, but it's what I heard, I do not know the specifics.

I think there is some traffic on this subject at the other forum but who knows what is real and imagined once they get fired up?

April 15th he will be in court in Sask for a Whitetail Deer, he is facing several charges from that deer...one being a Federal Charge

His real name is Jason, Mr David was at the trade show recently telling many people his charges were dropped and hes a free man. NOT TRUE!

anyone is doubt feel free to contact fish and wildlife dealing with these charges, 13067287483. That is a direct line to the officer!

Id like to ask a question, would you as Hunters and Fisherman support a business that stands by a Poacher ? would you avoid using their business?

I'd also like to ask a question..

How do you know he's a poacher when his trail date is more than 3 weeks away?

Innocent until proven guilty my friend. ;)

Who said anything about a trial date? Unless you have been personally told some bs by him???

April 15 Chris will be pleading, guilty or innocent. It's going to be either setting a date for sentencing or a trial date

Let's remember one thing here, Chris has already admitted  a few things with this case...and also given 2 separate stories to different fish and wildlife officers

Let's not all forget the Elk charges he got off on in Alberta due to the statue of limitations... or don't you know about that recent case  :-X that was a slam dunk case too! Hard to argue video footage

What all this comes down too is do you stand up for a poacher? He's a bad individual and shouldn't be hunting.

Maybe more will see through him with the investigation taking place in Alberta on total new charges

I wouldn't support poachers, but everyone has a basic fundamental right to defend themselves against charges. I think I will reserve my judgement until he's actually convicted.

Agreed.

As for Hunting shows, they put pressure on both the hosts and the fans to always shoot the biggest, widest, heaviest critters etc. With this kind of pressure, I am surprised more of them aren't bending the rules or hunting on pet farms for good footage. Seems like a 160" whitetail is below average on most shows these days, I don't believe the hunting shows harvest so many of these animals on camera under the rules of fair chase.

I am not really sure what response you are look for here. I mean stand up against who and what. I don't know who this man is, I doubt I have ever had anything to do with him at anytime, do not do business with businesses he does business with,, like what do you want. Do you not want me to go into Walmart if they sell food to Chris David ?? You seem to know a lot about this case why not shed some light on it for those of us that know absolutely nothing about it so we can make a judgment call for ourselves. As far as I know he may have shot a deer across a fence he may not have had permission on,, again to me this is not poaching,, just bad judgement. I don't think it requires the man to be shot to death.

Most of these sites are so quick to condem people on little information, so far this site for the most part has seen little of this, we hope it can stay this way. This is not a place for a witch hunt. Don't ask people to make a call on something they know little or nothing about.

Wow JimmyHunter you sure do know a lot about what is going on with Mr David and his troubles and as I have been a fan of all 3 of the TV programs he has been part of thank you for your information if it is all true. One thing I would like to know is what program was Mr David part of when this so called poaching incident took place, I would really like to know as I have done what you said and contacted both the Saskatchewan and Alberta Fish And Game as to the dates both incident's you are boasting about and I have an answer for you, both incident's you are boasting about took place while Mr David was with the program { The Hunting Chronicles } just going off the dates I was given and have not herd much about this new program he was with only that everyone there has left. Now I think it is very wrong that the other people that belong to that show { The Hunting Chronicles } did not come forward with there information when it originally took place { as an ethical hunter and TV personality would and should do }. Why did it take so long for someone to come forward with all these allegations about Mr David also you said there was video to prove he was guilty, Was this video shown on TV if so who was the person running the video camera because in my opinion that person is just as guilty of this terrible crime and should be held to the same charges and repercussions as Mr David. I don't know a lot about the TV industry but I know in the real world you are innocent until proven Guilty and really hope this is all just blown out of proportion as it has to do with a TV personality. I really enjoy both the hunting programs he was with and would like to continue watching them both but if there was any wrong doing by either program I will not watch either of them.

You know what?

I shot a deer once years ago on the boundary of a wildlife coradoor.  Completely legal shot in the lungs alittle to far back....

Well gosh if that deer didn't run into a camp ground and die right in front of an out house...

My bud didn't turn me in he grabbed a hoof and we got the heck out of there.

Somthing stinks here more then that out house
