The old mercury thermometer used to get that cold down by the river.  That was when it was safe enough to cross with a sleigh and horses to visit relatives in Radway.  :)

Holy crow.  I think the coldest I can say I have been in is about -46C.
Low areas down by the river can drop down like that like you say, Greylynx.

I have been to both Faro and Ross River and they are both down low along the Pelly River where it is supposed to get deathly cold mid next week.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

The radio said -55 in Hinton this morning.

Maybe those two dog eating cougars that were shot out your way were looking for a warm garage. Too bad they weren't having their hides stretched on somebody's garage. :)
