Convert from CGN
« on: May 02, 2012, 10:41:53 AM »
Hi there!

I'm a long time forum member over on Canadian Gunnutz, but with all the ridiculousness over there lately I'm looking at other forums that are perhaps a little more sporting.

I'm pleased to see you guys as an alternative to Alberta Outdoorsman Forum, and even more pleased to see The Hunting Chronicles with their own section!
Watch me shoot my Tavor and Fabarm in HD! http://vimeo.com/channels/blackrifles

Or on Good Ol' YouTube http://www.youtube.com/user/WildGunmenOsborne

ive never tried CGN....just lurked a little.  of course im not a gun nut though.....just a hunter and to me a gun is just a tool to do that.  this place is pretty good.  there are a some very good guys around this site and its one of the few forums out there that isnt filled with childish nonsense and yapping.  there has really only been one problem child here and its gone, so im sure you will have a good time here.  good luck.
opinions are like sphincters......everyone has one, and they all stink!

If your not on CGN you are not really on a gun forum.  There are many guys on other forums that consider them selfs firearm athoritys that would get there Ass handed to them farily fast.

like i said im no gun lover at all really.  i own some, but if i didnt hunt i wouldnt.  i dont own any guns that are just for shooting. im a hunter and thats all.  i know enough about them to use them safely and how to choose the right stuff for the task at hand.  long range shooting.....tweaking loads for accuracy....wildcatting.....i really have no interest in that stuff.

And I respect that problem for me comes when Internet heroes try to tell me how to shoot long range and pull up stats for long range that amount to an inch at thousand yards.

I enjoy shooting more then hunting all the shooting skills and top of the line eqwipment I enjoy have yet to get a trophy of any real standing.  Boils down to interests but I am due for a cranker just out of sure luck.

I'm with you Dale.  I am in the process of cleening out my gun cabinet.  I have one rifle now that is all i use.  It's a BlaserR93 and I have 3 barrels for it for whatever I feel like.  257 weatherby , 7stw and a 375.  With that I can run around the world with one small suitcase to hold it all in.  Shoots 1/2" and even shot a 3" group at 500 yards last year with the 7stw and was quite surprised.  To me it is a tool and it is all beat up and it works like a charm.
