Daytona 500
« on: February 17, 2020, 06:38:21 PM »
Prayers for Ryan Newman.  I don't know the news on his condition yet, but it didn't look good.
OMG, what a crazy race.  As you guys know, I am a big race fan and a gear head.
NASCAR is a different game these days with all the pushing.  Never liked that, so dangerous.  I mean it is all dangerous at 200 mph and these guys know what they are getting into, but those pushes on the high bank super-speedway are crazy.
I am just hoping for the best for Ryan at this point, but it looked real bad. Pushed, flipped upside down and hit right in the drivers window at 200 mph.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

Not a watcher myself but I did hear about the incident and was checking it out earlier tonight. Pretty wild crash for sure. Those cars are made out of nothing, so light it’s amazing the even hold together at the speeds they do. When you watch the crash in slow mo the flexing that car does is crazy. I also read earlier that he is being treated for non life threatening issues.

Ryan Newman is being treated at Halifax Medical Center. he is in serious condition, but doctors have indicated his injuries are not life threatening. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers and ask that you respect the privacy of Ryan and his family during this time. We appreciate your patience and cooperation and we will provide more information as it becomes available.

Ya, just heard too.  Non-life threatening, but serious they say.  Everyone was so worried he was dead after that.
I'll post the video now that I know he wasn't killed.  When he was on his roof and skidding the #32 car of Corey LaJoie hit him hard right in the driver door/window.
Still praying for the best.
