Down with pneumonia
« on: December 07, 2012, 05:52:48 PM »
Had the flu start end of the deer hunting season and must have really been run down, me and my buddies burned the candle pretty good, but I was feeling better Tuesday night, fever was gone, cough was slowing down so I thought it would be a good idea to go outside and shovel snow then take my samurai and wash it out. Well woke up Wednesday and never felt so awful in my life, high fever, dizzy, felt confused, I went back to bed at noon and slept 24 hours. When I got up was still very ill and started coughing up blood tinged mucus so went to the emergency in Red Deer, wasn't too bad was admitted in a couple hours, had bloodwork and chest xray, well have pneumonia in my right lung. Guess I'm not 20 anymore... :(

Guys if you get a flu or cold or whatever this season get your rest and get over it before being stupid like I was...

Not good. I'm down with a chest cold too. Went outside for a few hours yesterday to do chores. That wasn't the best idea.

Was planning to take my son ice fishing this am, but didn't think it wise to be on the ice at the crack of dawn coughing my lungs out.

Maybe next week!

Paul, been there, done that. It doesn't pay to get too frisky the first day your feeling better. Take er easy until your 100%.

I hear the flu shot this year is a nasal spray this year non proscription.  Think I might get one on days off.  Pneumonia is easer to catch after you have had it once be aware of that.
