Eeeee! First camping trip of the year!
« on: April 17, 2013, 09:14:11 AM »
Loading up in the morning, going to set my tent up along the Clearwater, taking my dog and some guns, and going shed hunting and target shooting for the weekend :)

Anyone else heading out this weekend?

Will post pics and adventures on Monday! Happy 30th to me :) nothing like a nice solo trip to the woods for some rest, relaxation and backwoods therapy lol.

Awwww too bad about work! "My day job is ruining my night life" song pops into mind lol.

SE BC? How does that work for us Albertan's? I've never out of province hunted, is it general down there? How do you go about that process to be able to hunt there? Pardon my ignorance....

Just buy a tag over the counter.  No need for a host or guide.  $140 per bird tag - you can shoot one in the spring and one in the fall.  Its a general season in most areas of the kootenays.

Nice! So our WIN is good there, and we don't need a wildlife cert?

That's pretty awesome. I hope you get out and get a gobbler!

Holy ballz I'm getting pumped...the last few hours of work before 4 days off.....always dragging lol!!!!

No turkeys with the bow Huntress but I did get this Coyote.  He and a couple buddies chased a rabbit into us.  My buddy kept running the range finder until this guy stopped.  A long shot but the arrow found its mark so one less mangy coyote out there.   8)

Awesome, Weste!!! That's wicked awesome!!!

I had a few does come through camp when I first got set up. Saw a young cow moose, and tons of skunks! I have a bunch of pics on my digital camera, but no computer to load em on here. Will try to do that....I only got one pic with my cell phone of my wood run lol. How embarrassing lol.

And I'm down for a campout anytime anywhere. Need to get these 20+ staples taken out on friday then I'm good to go lol. Birthday's on the 6th but thanks for the bday wishes :)

We should plan a central AB campout here before May long. I don't go out on long weekends. Either a weekend before or a weekend after. Tons of free gear the weekend after when the weekend warriors come out and trash everything, then a skiff of snow comes and everyone leaves all their gear! Seen it a hundred times. I usually go out with garbage bags, clean up empties and do a big garbage burn.  The last thing I want is people ruining my food supplies habitat and my privliges to camp/hunt on crown land.

Lemme know.
