Let's not celebrate too soon.  If Prentice didn't set her up for failure and it wasn't a set play, he will parachute her into another riding.  If he doesn't, then it was a successfully planned destruction of the Wild Rose and she fell for it.  Time will tell.

I'm telling you guys, Prentice set her up, he totally buffaloed her, if there were more gears working behind the scenes she wouldn't be pissed off and she wouldn't have quit, she just would have kept her mouth shut. I think she's so pissed off because Jimmy hung her out, if he was really behind her she would have kept her mouth shut and Jimbo would have looked after her, she knows she has no options, think the door is closed. Jimmy is desperate after sticking it to Albertans why would he want a loser like her involved?

Paul- I think you are bang on. It is ironic- if the Wildrose MLAs had not sold themselves out for their place at the feed trough, they would have been even more viable as the opposition now then before. I'm a believer that Prentice played them all and this was planned.

I believe the intent was for the liberal carpetbagger prentice to call the election tomorrow, but I'm not so sure he will now.  His budget is not exactly being well received since no one is buying that it's our fault;  not the pc's and it's we who will be targetted, not the pc's bloated bureaucracy, fiscal incompetence and unbelievably arrogant sense of entitlement.

Further while many in particularly the left wing camp are fond of claiming the wildrose is dead and disorganized;  simple fact is the truth is pretty much the opposite of that.  Our local mla is starting to gather/rally the troops and I'm certain he's not alone.  Our own volunteer base has grown from the last election and since the same people plus more helpers are here that were here last time it'll take us about a nanosecond to have the ball rolling even better than last time since we've done it all before.

Vacancy rate in ftmac is now almost 60%, Calgary's vacancy rate has crossed 40% since Christmas.  Same for places like Lloyd where trucks are parked in rows.  Many of the the left leaning voters of the last election have simply gone home.

Personally I hope he calls it for this spring (breaking their own fixed date policy) since there's also a federal election this fall.  Guess we'll see in a couple days but it really wouldn't surprise me if he puts it off as long as he can while he and his cabinet keep wishing and clicking they're heels that the economy will magically heal itself.

I agree, she been had and I hope she feels like the fool she is. When you f____k with the people, they can make you pay, and, I hope they make Jimbo pay when the WRA has a chance to rebuild. It won't happen in the next election but maybe ther one after, it depends how many are fed up with the Conservatives.
