Election May 5th
« on: April 07, 2015, 05:33:58 PM »
Well, looks like the election's on.

Now's the time to contact the local candidate you wish to support.  Even a couple hours of volunteering can make a difference.

Democracy only works when free people get involved, so whoever you want to support needs your help now.

This very second Canadians are fighting to keep democracy alive.  Don't squander that gift.

No matter who you support be proud that you are a part of a free people with a choice.  Becoming involved is how you do your part.

Ya, I will call it the Illegal Election!  Against the PC's own law:

http://www.qp.alberta.ca/documents/Acts/e01.pdf

The Province of Alberta Election Act

"Elections, By-Elections
and Plebiscites
General election dates
38.1(1) Nothing in this section affects the powers of the
Lieutenant Governor, including the power to dissolve the
Legislature, in Her Majesty’s name, when the Lieutenant Governor
sees fit.
(2) Subject to subsection (1), a general election shall be held
within the 3-month period beginning on March 1, 2012 and ending
on May 31, 2012, and afterwards, general elections shall be held
within the 3-month period beginning on March 1 and ending on
May 31 in the 4th calendar year following polling day in the most
recent general election. "
