Teck is dead ...

 https://russia-insider.com/en/russia-planning-biggest-oil-project-history-world-155-billion-investment-15-new-towns-airports-ports

Only in Canada is oil dead .
40 yrs ago when I left Manitoba when NDP first got in !
I railed against socialism / liberals then ....small consolation in being right .
 Wasteland in our future .

Notice that the Russians are building ARC 7 Ice class oil tankers. The Russian Navy has a pile of nuclear powered ice breakers that even the U.S. can't match. Canada's icebreakers were made way back in the previous century. Are Canadian Ice Breakers any good? Like Duh.

Now, who do you think this Russian oil is going to be sold to? And what is the most expedient route to ship this oil from Russia?

And what country loses in the end? A country that actually strives to make chosen citizens into a third world class.

OK class, enough of today's lesson.....for all of you teachers who snoop on here.

Eliminating energy projects in Canada only shifts them to other countries.  The demand is still growing for energy and those who step up will be the winners.
The carbon taxers and Indigenous sabotage supporters will be the losers.  Investment money isn't stupid.  International Capital investment is exactly that, international.  We are in competition.
All the major energy companies in the world are striving for better technical efficiencies.  LNG is a huge example of this.  LNG replacing coal in China is a huge efficiency.  Teck even highlighted their commitment to efficient energy production in their withdrawal letter, doesn't mean they are abandoning their business.  Shell has made similar statements.

W101/Grey,  Vostok is a great example.  Massive India investment and market demand.  We can remember how Trudeau's business trip went with India, made a fool of himself and alienated Canada at the same time.

Some probably say that I have too much to say all the time politically.  For them I say repeat this word slowly over and over.  "Venezuela" Read about it, it is textbook what we are going into. I attached a protester pic just to show where this country is going and the absolutely stupid people that are supporting it.  And they say China has an epidemic disease.

10 other major Oil & Gas projects to watch around the world:

The cancellation of the Tech mine is more a political move than anything and a well played welcome one at that. There’s no way in hell they would have built that mine anyways. Companies with running operations are barley keeping their head above water in this environment of depleted prices never mind spend billions to build one from scratch. No this was a well played strategy to make the Turd look bad like I said I welcome it. Now if we had a real government in power in these times of depleted prices they would give companies like this tax breaks or loan guarantees in order to spur investment and development but shit for brains is not smart enough for that. But still fact remains this mine would not have been built even with approval.

The war measures Act is gone, but I am sure Justin has a way to ban that roast-turkey cutter out of your wife's  deadly knife collection. And everything else that might be in the private residence. Look at High River.

A handful of natives can hold the Trudeau government hostage and get their way.  Money and land, whatever they want.

Just think what a large group of pissed off Albertan's could do if they took up the fight in a real way.
Trouble is, there are too many pussy's around.  Was reading discussion on AO around this and even there the vocal majority would rather take it up the rear from Trudeau than consider alternatives.

What is going on with those camping sites in Alberta by the Alberta government? Money being pulled out by the government.

I wonder if our hunting and fishing regulation publications will be made more efficient and effective versus the comic book format we currently have. And with a cost saving of course.

To those that had plans to go.

The Edmonton Boat & Sportman Show is cancelled.

I was looking forward to going myself, it’s an annual thing for the boys and I.

Ya, I heard they called it about 5:30 today after they were set up already.  That had to suck for the vendors.
Alberta Health and the Expo Centre put the pressure on and the plug was pulled.
Maybe the right call, I don't know.  This Covid-19 thing is sure gaining steam.

Yah there’s nothing wrong with taking precautions. I don’t think it’s close to panic time yet in our smaller centres but being careful doesn’t hurt. The wife and I have been a little extra careful, using hand sanitizer when in town, washing good when we get home. Just being on guard a little.
