Re: Coal excavations in the Crowsnest Pass.

Please note that I have no financial interest or an occupation in coal extraction

Is it true the restored coal pits in the Alberta coal branch now provide excellent trout ponds for basic limnological research and preservation of the Athabasca rainbow trout population?

Is it true that these restored coal pits are "fun" places for children to go fishing? Children who are not on that computer teat,

What would be wrong if those coal pits in the Crowsnest Pass created jobs for some folks and the land and water was restored for trout research, protection and propagation.

Remember, Whirling Disease abounds in Alberta. Some nice clean sterile disease free water might be required for brood stock.

Now where would one acquire that disease free water paid for by a coal company and not the Alberta tax payer? You are not going to see those ranchers paying for any thing.

BTW I come from a cattle raising family in Central Alberta.

Bill C-21
Announced today by Trudeau and the Liberals.
https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/feds-table-firearms-legislation-and-plan-optional-gun-buyback-program-1.5310729

My Thoughts:

  • Buyback?  WTH, these firearms were never the property of the government, how can they buy them back?  Buying them back with our tax $....lol, how generous of Trudeau and Blair.  ???  Doesn't even make sense, but neither does Trudeau.
  • Optional?  Well, basically an admission that they are out to lunch on their jurisdiction, just like the original ban which was not a law either, an "order in council" dictatorship decree.
  • Every time Trudeau mentions guns/firearms, he calls them weapons.  The term weapon has a reference to inflicting harm.  Most people use firearms (tools) with no intent of ever inflicting harm/damage/threat, ie. target shooting.  "Assault Style" is another term that Trudeau throws around, yet it has no legal definition in Canada under the Firearms Act.  Trudeau is playing on the drama again and dancing on people's graves like he always does.
  • The door is still left wide open to continue on the path of adding to the ban.  New Zealand set the precedent of banning all semi-autos just because of one crime.
  • Another troubling door left wide open that could be open to vindictive misuse:  If passed, the bill would create "red flag" and "yellow flag" laws which would allow individuals — such as concerned friends or relatives — to apply to a court for the immediate removal of someone's firearm. Blair said these laws could be used in cases of domestic violence and concerns about mental health.
  • Liberal timing strikes again.  Genius on their part really.  The vaccine troubles are front and center for Trudeau, so he changes the channel with gun control messaging for his liberal sheep.  Time to rally the lefty voters for a spring election, before his scandals begin to worsen yet again?
  • More spending with no budget anywhere in sight and for no good reason.
  • Trudeau says: "We are not targeting law-abiding citizens who own guns to go hunting or for sport shooting. The measures we're proposing are concrete and practical," but again that is exactly what he is doing.
  • Blair completely contradicts himself and Trudeau like the fool he is....lol:  "They can’t be shot, they can’t be traded, they can’t be transported, they can’t be sold, and they can't be bequeathed," said Blair. "For the overwhelming majority of Canadians who originally acquired these weapons lawfully … so that they could use them as firearms, we have eliminated that use through this legislation." Brilliant, you dumb Fooker.
  • Erin O'Toole makes a weak rebuttal of Bill 21, sounded more like he didn't want really offend any liberals though to me.

Yet he has paid off the media and scores of young voters with CERB, has Jugheed in his back pocket and will appease crookbec as soon as he feels his majority is a slam dunk. I too hope he gets the boot but am worried the sheep will vote him in with a majority. How much more damage and debt will he befall Canada if he gets another 4 years. Alberta will be a have not province for years to come if he gets in.

Notice how the heat was building on the vaccine roll out/supply and boom, gun stuff got tabled to distract.

Transparency is her enemy. She has no idea what she doing and people are starting to see that, so she is keeping the door closed. When times are tough you need a tough leader. It will take years after she is gone to dig this great province out. The world wants what we  have, unfortunately she's not selling it.
