 If you told me a year ago I'd would be an avid face booker
  I likely would have told you something .
  A long time friend of mine started a hunting page on FB called
   Canadian Upland Hunting , mostly dog stuff . I understood that
    costs were nil to set that up ( unlike the Internet forums , this I
   am sure Paul could enlighten us on on ) .
    Face Book has some rules , no gun sales or discussion , no animal
    sales of any kind. Failure to follow these will result in Page removal.
     There is a multitude of American Hunting Dog pages , some very
      informative .
       My wife thought it was great because I could follow my grandchildrens
       activities on a daily basis .
        I quit at 10 dog pages.  2 fishing pages , a couple wildlife cooking pages .
         I ascribe to the theory " Anything worth doing,is worth overdoing .





          My experience with outdoor forums is that if you disagree with a multitude
      Of people on a multitude of subjects sooner or later, those people may become
       moderators and your ass is a star . School teaching and socialism are not a good
       mix . Why you would give responsibility to people whose job it is to groom the
        morons of the future , is beyond me .

         I have reduced my pages to one Canadian , and my friends to a couple .
          Censorship has raised its ugly head even in Canada .

    that remark but fortunately they are all on Facebook

I tried face book once. A young person I hunted with told me to put my hunting pictures up for the group to see. My kids set it up and showed me how it worked. Well I had people I don't remember ever knowing asking me questions. I thought this "Face Book" was just to show the guys our hunting pictures, no idea how it worked. Still don't cause I had my kids delete it.  Nice "Camo Frock" by the way 101. You go girl

I know lot's hate facebook, but for me it's been an extremely valuable business tool and a necessary evil. If I wasn't in business I would not be involved with it.

 So after being on there for 6 mo maybe ....the pro s are .
  I have seen quite a few pics of the kids playing soccer .
    Some pretty interesting Dog and Bird hunting pics .
     Seen quite a few first time dog owners and young
     hunters get some pretty good info from old timers .

    The cons ....something everybody on here will be familiar
                  with...it's not a lot different than a blog or forum .
                  Lots of wannabe genius , many people banned
                  for pretty dumb reasons ....like most forums
                   You can pick your spots , oh ya too many dogs
                   In cute hats pics .

I like FB but I ain't hardcore at it but a few milsurp pages and whatnot is all good.

There is good info on facebook. You can share as much or as little as you want. You're missing out on some good stuff if you don't use it.
