Favourite Time Of The Year.

This is a very busy time of the year for me and by far my favourite time. The next 4 months of the year are what it's all about for me. I do like my summer walleye and laker fishing it will always be fun but whats coming next is the reason I work and plan all year.
In two weeks I head off to the coast for the annual Salmon fishing trip. Will be there for 10 days this year hopefully have 8 days on the water. Then back to work for 2 weeks and after that planning on hitting southern AB for a few days of archery mule hunt and some early season goose hunting around home. For at 2 weeks of Oct will bring on the moose hunt. Headed back to our area again this year. Then if the schedule holds I should get a couple weeks the beginning of Nov and the last 5 days of the month for whitetail.
It's a busy time but an exciting time with never enough time to do what a guy wants..

Sounds like some good times. similar here except for the salmon fishing. Damn. Got my moose draw and Bison so those will be fun but also got my youngest just turned 12 so we can finally hunt at home and my niece has decided she wants to try hunting so I will have some fun with a couple new hunters. Then I still have my daughter, neighbours kids and son of one of my co-workers who are all 16 or younger who are looking to get out as well. Should be a great fall!!

It is definetly my favorite time of year to. Big walleye are biting, moose are rutting and deer are to. This will be the first in about 6 or 7 years I will have a lot of time to hunt and fish so im going to take advantage of it because once my next project starts I will be balls to the wall for another 6 or 7 years. I plan to make use of my trailer full of goose and duck decoys again, some pheasant and upland hunting east of Calgary and in the brooks area lots, maybe hit Last mountain or tobin for big eyes or Cold for big eyes and lakers, head home to Lloyd and get some ruffed grouse hunting in (still my favorite hunt), and then theres my mulie buck tag ive 999'd for 9 years before finally deciding to take it this year. Its definetly going to be a great fall, minus the 3 days of work per week getting in the way haha.

Heading down to Sooke. Been going there a few years now off and on. I think this will be about year 10 for me there I know the waters pretty well. I have fished the island in just about every popular spot other than the far north end I do enjoy it. Take my own boat and gear out, it's a fully do it yourself trip for us. I have been salmon fishing since a young age my father loved it and growing up we would spend quite a bit of time out there in the summer.

Right on, that'll be a great trip. I'm originally from the south end of the island, only out here for the past 10 years. I'm heading out to Saturna day after tomorrow for about 10 days and will be on the water for some of it.
Tight lines and if it's slow around East Point maybe you'll see an orange Silverline plying the waters with you.

Sounds good good luck to you guys.
I run a white 20' Lund fisherman,, give me a shout if your out our way. I usually fish the west side of the sooke spots I seldom go east of Secutary once in the blue moon I may take a tack down to the trap shack but not to often.
