Well,, we got into our first quills today,, not to bad but hopefully he has learned. Sam has put out some apples for bait and hopefully gets it tonight,, it seems to be way to close to the house. Or even better maybe it got a scare and has moved on.

Had a dog when I was a kid that never learned. First time into town to the vet. After that I did it on the back step with a pair of pliers. After about the 3 or 4th time the dog would just sit in front of me and take it.
Couldn't ask for a nicer companion dog for a kid, but dumb as a stick. Hopefully yours isn't from the same bloodline when it comes to porcupines.
