I hunted South Dakota Last November and had a blast.  Kiolled a pile of pheasants with 18 shooters.

SD has pheasants like the prairies have gophers!  I have hit more pheasants with my truck and boat trailer in the Dakota's than I have ever seen in total up here in in North Central Alberta.  You will see a flock of them in the ditch, and 6 will fly off away from the road in the other direction, and one will just run full bore right into the path of the truck.  I guess that's why it's called survival of the fittest!

I have heard that pheasant hunting there is the best in the world.  And civilized with no early morning hunts.  Would be a great combo hunt migratory in the AM and pheasants in the afternoon.
