Yeah I'm getting tired of this winter too.I was looking at the boat all tarped up in the yard and thinking open water is going to be about 2 weeks(if we're lucky) later than normal this year. :(

I booked some time off in June to go fishing but I may have to rebook for July... ;D

Yeah I had enough, and my kids too, cooped up all winter too small to really do much outside, they are good till their hands get cold.

I hear ya!! Middle of April and today was the first time the over night low stayed above freezing, and that's by a half a degree. Lol lots of snow to melt here yet, the boys will be seeding around snow drifts .

Up to 20 cm of the white crap possible again this weekend they say.  There will no wheat put in north of Edmonton at the end of the month this year.  They will be seeding around the water spots in May for sure.

"April showers bring May flowers" as the saying goes.

"April blizzards kill the lizards" maybe???

Be careful out there guys, you could get sun burn and frost bite on the same day.

Ya we got a skiff of snow in Rocky.

My skiff is just about right full of it.  And my canoe as well.

We still have 3' in Sask!  Tried to put up bear stands last weekend. Snow up to the thighs makes it tough

I believe it was May Long 2002 when I went up to North Wabasca lake for the first time.  I was dead set on doing some walleye fishing and it was the only lake that wasn't froze shut from central alberta northward because of a freak wind storm.  Hopefully this year isn't the same but dang it needs to start warming up quick here!
