HAHAHAHA Just got banned again!

So I finally got back on to Alberta Outdoorsman 4 days ago under a new name.  I have yet to post anything but I did send 3 or 4 of youguys PM's about this new site.  I am now banned again.  I guess you guys on AO have no privacy at all.  They read your PM's all day long!  How is that for a "Private " Message

Yup I have been saying it for days now.. They were on my PM's like a teenager on a hooker.. What a B.S. place,, I can't wait until most of the people hear about this place and come on over and get out of that prison..

Obviously they are watching all correspondence to try and keep people from finding it here.  You got to admit that is the most Paranoid, dumbest thing in the world that they would worry about it that much to snoop on what people are doing.

Or maybe one of buddies just ratted on you? With over 24,000 members the pm traffic must be mind boggling at AO. I would imagine it would be physically impossible to monitor all that traffic with the handfull of mods they have.

Could be but I sure found it interesting after being a member for a couple days and then started sending a few PM's out I got busted.  Interesting they won't give a guys a second chance to humble himself and bow down instead of just tossing a guy to the side.

Funny, just checked and BB416 has been keeping an eye on my account. They must be getting worried over there. To be honest I haven't even looked at that site since I found out about this one, there isn't nearly as much bickering on this site, it's alot nicer.

Well actually it's a rather simple process to weed certain keywords. All you need to do is go into the database and do a query for "www.albertasportsman.com" and the database will yield all the results of that instance anywhere in the database. It would be easy to find a specific user pm'ing the domain. Secondly some people may of gotten a pm about it and told a moderator. I doubt they are reading through peoples pm's at random, if anything they might look for that phrase in the database. I don't know, this place is small and very non-threatening, even making a little bit of an effort to bother doing that seems hardly worth the time.

That being said I doubt there is much worry about this board, but perhaps enough of an annoyance to urge people to watch out for it. It was mentioned to me by somebody that the person who owns that board was "happy" about Alberta Sportsman. My question is, if that person is so happy why don't they post a link to this board themselves? There are no sponsors here and this board is promoting the Alberta outdoors. Where is the "voice of Alberta Outdoorsmen"? Where is the promotion of the community? Where is the spirit to unite all sportsmen?

If we have 200 members or 200000 members, whether we have sponsors or not, I am not so self serving and controlling to fear or loathe what others are doing to promote our sport and our way of life. Amazingly enough I have not been banned there. I have met many good people there, and as far as the community goes it's a hell of a good place for the sport. We have a big playground in Alberta, there is lot's of room for everyone. I will say it again the intention here is not some big competition, but an alternative, a fresh approach, a common place to share what we love to do. Sportsmen are by and large one of the most passionate groups when it comes to their way of life.

Well said Paul. Honestly I haven't posted on AO since I joined this site. I know it's not a competition but I do believe some of us myself included were looking for a change and if said change were to ruffle some feathers then I'm all for it!!

In all seriousness, I have been doing websites for many years. I fully understand how everything functions. Rest assured your private messages are just that, private. People who run boards have no business reading people pm's and only a real piece of garbage of a person would do that. The mere thought of it gives me the heebie jeebies. There is a legality to reading people messages. First off there needs to be a disclaimer in the registration agreement that states that their private messages might be accessed by the administration. If not the message system must be altered to remove the word "private".

Seriously guys I highly doubt anyone is reading pm's there, it's pretty easy to figure guys out by IP addresses or emails.

In all fairness BB416 (Jeff ) is really an awesome guy. I think he gets alot of outside pressure sometimes from people.

As far as the bickering on here, only time will tell, but one thing is for certain. Without tweddle dee and tweddle dumb on here, i feel time will be awhile !
