Called them yesterday to get a price on a rifle.Guy said yes they have one in stock and the price is $629..cool I said.

Drove there today and yes they only had one in stock but the price tag was $699.I asked the guy what he was trying to pull because yesterday he told me $629.Well he checked the computer and yes the price there was $629 not $699.

He called the manager over and we told him what was what,also told him I drove 3 hours one way and spent $70 on gas.
But the manager was being a dick about it and wouldn't sell the rifle to me for the price that not only I was quoted but for the price in the computer.

Well guess what buttwipe.I've spent a lot of money in your store over the years but no more.I'd rather pay more in other stores than to give you any more of my business.. >insert middle finger here<

So later on..(I'm still pissed off) I go to Cabela's and the same rifle is...yup $699. But guess what?

The young feller behind the counter said that if I come back on Friday this rifle will be on sale for 10% off.

It's honesty like this is what I like..

btw..I stopped in to wholesale sports and good grief there so called sales are shameful.

I asked for two pounds of FFFg but they no have.

Also sign said 10% off shotgun ammo....cool.

Well not so cool when 28 gauge ammo is still cheaper elsewhere after the WSS 10% off.

The more I go to stores the more I like shopping online.

Can't believe Can Tire would not give the price you where quoted. To loose the sale and have a customer pissed over $70.00 is nuts. Also It's good the kid was honest at Cabela's, but because your from out of town, you would think they would give you 10% on the gun then, so you won't need to travel in again. That's the problem with corporate box stores, no personal touch and no working with the customer.

 I am not sure why but Gun shopping is a thankless existence.
  I just bought three guns in the last couple of months .
  None from the tire , though I tried , no luck .
  One from Bass Pro , total fluke , they just happen
   To have the gun I wanted , never happened before .
    As a side note , they rarely if ever have the guns
     In the flyer .
     Bought two at my fav, Flys Etc in High River ,
       They had them , price more than competitive,
        knowledgable staff .
           Also just down the road the Hitchin Post
            killer milk shakes .   
            The tire in Shawnessy in Calgary , big stock
             Very professional . You could get lucky .
             The cowtown question is , with wss gone will
              BP or Cabellas move to the south . South of the
               new hospital lots of shopping going in there !

One of the perks about being a commuter.Cabelas is not far off my route.

I'll save my $110 Canadian tire money for a different gun in a different store.
