Hosted Boards

Just a note on any hosted boards such as The Hunting Chronicles board. The hosted boards are moderated by the people that own them, not by Alberta Sportsman administrators and moderators.

Interesting.

Why bother to have a forum if you just delete everything that isn't a glowing endorsement?  It looks a lot worse than a couple of negative comments.  If that's how they want to operate, they might as well just put up an advertisement and leave it at that, because the other option really doesn't look good, or even work.

Agreed and I am certain that won't be the case Waxy. The THC guys need to get signed up and kick off their board and as soon as Chris David gets back from bear hunting he can do so. We are still working out some details on this but it's only fair that the THC crew have an opportunity to address anything posted on their board which they aren't able to right now.

Fair enough.

Hopefully Mr. David won't choose to run his forum the same way Mr. Miskosky chooses to run his...

Chris David will be the moderator! Oh boy. I can't wait to ask about his bait sponsor and their work on getting baiting legalized in Alberta.

I am sure Chris will be happy to address any questions you may have Muskeg.

Hey Muskeg,

Just to be clear; I am not endorsing the use of this product for hunting in Alberta, other than for Bear and wolves. The new commercial we are currently working on for "Grims Bear Bait in a bucket" will reflect that. We do use it in Saskatchewan, as we hunt there twice a season and it is legal to use there. We also have hosts and pro-staff there as well. I know nothing of Grims trying to make it legal for Deer here in Alberta if he is.
We (THC) are not working to legalize it for use on Deer or any member of their family here in Alberta ourselves. We stay out of that part of it.

Best regards,

Chris

It was my pleasure to clarify our position. It is not our policy as THC to get involved in the legalization of attractant/supplement products. We leave that to the SRD and the maunfacturers to iron out. That is why we suggest that anybody that uses the product or any product simular, check to make sure it is legal to do so in that province. There are many provinces that do allow the use of it for hunting. We have some awesome footage of us using it for Bears this spring in Saskatchewan. The Bear Bait in a Bucket really works good.
