Well the wind hasn't picked up yet today but it will be another hot dry day today. I can hear helicopters leaving the Rocky airport on their way west to fight fires.
Lots of "local fire bans" around central Alberta. Unless we get some good rain, I recon there will be fire bans in the west country come May long weekend. Possibly some areas closed to OHVs and random camping.
They have a different sort of fire danger rating in The Northern Territory of Australia. Here is a pic of one of their signs.
