house colors
« on: October 25, 2016, 08:06:27 PM »
I am going to be painting my front room, kitchen and family room.  So far i have not been impressed with some of the new recommended colors.  I tried a grey that looked more purple and a tan that turned out to be more yellow.  I am also not a fan of the dark colors like dark green and deep browns.  Anyone find any colors that they are happy they choose for their rooms?

Can't go wrong with lighter neutral earthtones.

That being said, ya, let the wife decide.  For a few years the ext. of our house was pink.  Happy wife, happy life.  ;)

I agree with Bruce, keep it simple. Of course the wife chose the colours for our new house a couple years back but she kept it basic. I get a headache in some of these new homes with there wild colours. Another thing to keep in mind with colours is you can date your house, what's in today two years down the line may be out. Keep it simple keep it nutruel.
