Howdy fellas
« on: June 10, 2011, 09:48:33 AM »
It's about time I posted here, thank you Paul and Mods for getting this community up and running.

Looking forward to reading what the valuable folks here have to say.

This year I have a few trips planned:

-Golden Trout at Rainy Ridge
-Sturgeon on the Fraser
-Mable Lake Spring Run
-Several Dolly trips in the interior
-North Ram on the fly

As for hunting:

-Put in for Cow Elk and Muley Doe in my favorite zone, keeping my fingers crossed that I get drawn.
-Plans are to find more Whitetail areas.
-Pull a bigger Muley buck outta 316.
-Get on the Migratory train, for the first time.

Really looking forward to this summer and autumn, best of luck to you all this year.

TFG

Welcome FG!
Sounds like you have a busy summer and fall, g'luck if you can pull a big buck outta 316. I shot a few mulies in there but they were nothing to brag about.
ASR should put that on draw for antlered mule deer and let em grow some.

I agree Tuc.

I read a post that you made about two years ago with regards to 316, you mentioned that you have hunted that zone for many years, but rarely see anything bigger than a forker. Last year I took my first Muley buck outta there, as did a good friend of mine - both fork horns. Later in the season another friend shot a nice buck for that zone, a respectable three pointer. He had to go a loooong way in to find him mind you.

If that zone was put on draw, there would definitely be less people in there looking to fill their Mule Buck Tag.

Fish on!
