Pretty disappointed in my fellow Albertans. Actually I'm embarrassed for them.
I think I know how gun owners in Quebec feel like now.

I'm as disappointed as anyone but having both won and lost at the local level I have to respect what the people say.
There is a few others I wish were gone too. :-[

Yup a sad day indeed. A person can sure see the result of all the eastern influence that is taking place. If more keep coming in soon the NDP will be running things. A sad day for Alberta and conservatism as a whole, say good bye to your land rights, less government and a whole slew of other rights we have enjoyed. A dumb Liberal lawyer bitch is running it now kids.

Got to love paying more taxes and doing things the Liberal way now :'(
I'm pretty well in shock right now.  I was expecting better from Albertans.  Can't believe we would vote like this.  I feel raped right now but not as bad as I will feel in a year or 2 from now.  This place is going to hell in a handbasket and quickly!

Alberta is dead.  Within 3 months we'll have a sales tax.  Watch for power rates to increase dramatically, large businesses to leave.  With no property rights there'll be lot's of bad things coming down the pipe and lot's and lot's of new regulations.

well congrats to those of you who did vote wrp and elect a candidate in your riding... seems as if you have an actual voice in the house... us pc elected zones will have to carry on accepting everything they want -say- do...    we can write in to complain about it but we will not be heard anyway...

my family has been a long time pc supporter  but i voted WRP because i love my province and i slightly remember the way it used to be.... its like everytime i go to an oilers game i see more and more and more canadians or leafs jerseys as the right side of the country moves and slowly takes over the middle-left side....

blah... im going to bed.... sorry for the rant

i have ripped on the hick mentality of medicine hat for a long time.  all the retired saksatchewan farmers here have made poor decisions at the local level for as long as ive been alive, but tonight im quite surprised and happy to say that we did our part here.  the 2 local seats in the SE corner are wildrose.

as for the results.....i am honestly shocked.  i really believed albertans to be smarter than that.  on a personal note, i have a lot of work lined up in saskatchewan, so i wont personally see a big setback for a while....but i know its coming.  the trickle down effect will hurt us all.
opinions are like sphincters......everyone has one, and they all stink!

Exactly my thoughts too, Walleyes.  Alberta is officially over-run with liberal rats now.  We can no longer claim we are rat free.  For fock sakes, we even have an imported liberal witch running the show now.
I am so pissed.  We used to be a population of about 2 million conservatives until we were invaded by about 1.6 million liberals chasing the buck because there was no hope where they came from.
This is the beginning of the end.  Welcome to liberal spending and deficits and taxes you liberal retards.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

"Interview with Ben Dover reports he expects his power bill to triple and the surveyors are staking a 1,000,000 MV line thru his backyard, no legal recourse to fight that. He would like to have a beer at the pub but the 0.05 law has closed that establishment. Ben predicts increased taxes to fund more do-nothing committees and more managers for the other managers to be hired"
Stolen from CGN. It would be a lot funnier if it wasn't true.

Disappointed myself, but doubt the sky is going to fall as a lot of people who's parties lost usually claim.

Heard on the radio this morning it sounds like overall voting wise PC's only got about 10% more then the WR?

I wouldn't be too disappointed boys, I think this was a wake up call for the P.C.'s.  The WR is the official opposition and if the Conservatives don't pull up their socks and listen to the people, you can bet your bottom dollar Danielle will be our next Premiere in 4 years time.
Look at the huge gain WR has made....it all takes time and I think the PC's are walking on very thin ice with alot of newborn (young) Albertans.

I believe the PC's received a loud and clear message from Albertans, "Change or Else" !

Sad really, the two seats held there are one who sells real estate and the other who sells pipe and fittings...   No real world experience will come from these two individuals..    I would imagine the flood in the SE corner left a real bad taste in the area, most likely the reason for the swing in this area..

Yeah but think of the damage that's going to be done in those 4 years. Wait to hear the crying when they bring in a sales tax...

Please explain your train of thought here Paul ?    The masses have voted, live with what the "people" of Alberta have chosen..  We are all entitled to our opinion, but in 41 years of PC rule, there has not been a sales tax instituted in Alberta, what about the rest of the country ?

This damage, well all political parties makes decisions that may not have the support of everyone, but obviously they had enough last night to come out on top...

Wow!
Successful business men running not because they need a job but because they feel the call to public duty.

I take it you think teachers and lawyers that have never run a successful lemonade stand would be better choices?

I'm sorry, but, WOW!

No worries Bruce...

You would hope a candidate would bring some political experience to the table, possibly from a back ground in municiple workings prior to wanting the opportunity to provide dirrection in the provincial arena, IMO.

My beliefs are in this area, the flood that occured and the poor response from our provincial government sealed the fate of the PC representatives..
