Inflation items that make u go huuu?
« on: May 10, 2019, 01:03:59 PM »
Mini rant/observation here.
The wife is away for a couple weeks so being left to fend for myself in quite some time the grocery shopping has been eye opening.
Specifically the one thing that I cant comprehend is how decent sized hotdog's that cost 9cents a piece 15 years ago are almost $1 each now!!
I mean they are litterly made with leftover garbage.
What absurd increases have you noticed?

Crates of SKS ammo is now $429 per crate at Cabelas.

That's double the price that they were a couple years ago.  :(

My entire family has moved from beef and grain to total grain production.  Raising beef had become too expensive, and they put their capital entirely into grain.

Water. It’s more expensive than beer.

Beef has been high for a while but the prices still surprise me.  Groceries in general have really gone up for us in the last few years.  A small part of it is growing children but the lions share is just the cost of shit.

One thing that really stuck out to me recently when we went to the city to watch a movie was the price of popcorn and pop in theatres.  Three bags of popcorn, two pops - 44 friggin dollars.
