Sorry guys, not quite yet.

It passed 3rd reading 50-27 as I understand it.

Now it goes to the GG for royal assent.  Once it's given that, a date of being applied will be announced.

The day after That date will be the first day of no LGR.

Not yet, but it's getting Very close.  It's now past the point the libs/dips and other charlatans can do anything to stop it, I believe.   ;D

All thats needed is GG's signature/ royal; assent and then coming into force date. Should be done withihn a week. But, the way the government works, it could be 6 months.

All I know is what I've read, but as I understand it once it's passed through the senate, the Gov. Gen. is just a token rubber stamp, so given it's past closing time in Ottawa, Hopefully the gg isn't already gone for easter, and it'll be signed tomorrow???

Far as the actual, "in force" date, I have no idea.  I originally thought with the usual heel dragging we'd be lucky to burn them before Christmas, but now I'm starting to think maybe, just maybe in April???

I'm guessing here, but all the hurdles have been passed.

So, uh, any suggestions for a card burning?  I still would like to see all gun owners send the certs to one location and burn the mountainous pile on national TV, just to drive home the disgusting waste it all was.
