I seen this bear just last week next to a haul road at Suncor and yes he was a big bastard.

This is so sad. :'(

With the late spring I bet they are out of their dens with little forage around, no food makes them cranky.

People are always worried about sows and cubs and as well they should be but this time of year it is the boars that are the problem. It coming their mating season and the boars are very territorial this time of year. More than looking for food in these instances they are just protecting their ground. They see a human as an intruder on his ground and he will remove it.

Awesome.  Hopefully he gets charged and has to cover some of the wasted money to investigate the BS story.

No bear-Gambler & his buddies were at the cabin having a few.  His mouth ran off, and he got a dirty whipping from one of the guys(probably family)and he was not particularly happy.  Ain't that nice!!!

Kind of a spunky little bear.  I think he was looking for a handout.  I'll bet other people had fed him before.

You may be right Axe, at first he looked almost playful and fearless until he started lowering his ears;  then his intentions weren't as clear?

Gotta laugh at the guys talking, the one actually thought he'd knock it out with his rock if it got too close.  Once they ran the front guy sure didn't wait for his buddy.   ;)
