Lady who survived 7 weeks
« on: May 12, 2011, 02:34:19 AM »
Just an amazing ordeal. She must be one hell of a tough lady with one hell of a will to survive. The sad part is when they find her husband it might be a bone or two. Maybe he should have stayed in the van too but jeez what a tough decision to make. Guy should always be prepared for the worst when traveling.

This morning on the news she stated that they followed the GPS instructions, which is how they ended up off the main road...

Tragic to say the least  :(. As far as I know, they've only found the lady. This is a case where a Spot Tracker would have quickly resolved this ordeal. This device is a must when undertaking such a trek. I have one due to "working alone" requirements. So far, I've been fortunate enough to only having to send "I'm OK" messages to my wife and family. But, no matter how remote I am, they always get the message pronto when cell phone service is non existent.
