With the way things are going this year there are quite a few lakes that I doubt will be ice free for the May long weekend. Personely this is the latest that I ever recall for our area. Just wondering if there is any hard evidence out there that people know of and what is some of the talk going around from some of the old timers o this.
Even if the ice is off most of the lakes by the weekend the fishing is going to be slow I would think,, the water temp will keep them slugish for a while..
