Lets stop the bickering

Hey guys, Paul has said he wouldn't lock up threads but I can't see that happening if the bickering doesn't stop because this site will only go down hill. Lately I noticed a couple of threads on here that were just that, bickering back and forth about unimportant (childish) topics. Neither topic was about the outdoors stuff and all about garbage that many members and visitors don't want to read. I personally know one fellow here that has joined this forum to get away from the crap that goes on elsewhere. Lately I haven't seen him around here and I think I know why.

Please stop the petty stuff and get on with the important topics that relate to our passions. I'm not a saint and don't claim to be, and if any of you see me spouting garbage, please call me on it. We have had some enteraining threads on here in the past and lets continue down that road. The bickering will only send potentcial members (and already members) away.

Remember many of our members have come over here exactly for that reason....too get away from the bickering. Lets not disappoint them.

If you create a thread that you have to lock then the topic should have been maybe left alone to begin with.

I don't want to see a whole bunch of locked threads on here, bickering, etc. I am certain most of you don't want to see that either. It defeats the purpose. In fact no thread here should have to ever be locked unless of course bobarama comes back.

i couldnt agree more. 

on that note ive been pretty busy the last little bit around here and have been meaning to let the word out on a pretty exciting event that i witnessed last week.  i saw a wild pig!!!!  it was just one, and yes im very sure of what i saw.  no pm required because im going to tell everyone in hopes someone can make something happen. 

i was southbound on hwy 2 last week and it was about 100 yards off the road.  took me a minute to compute what the heck i was looking at, but it was a black pig.  there was a fence around the field....sort of.  it was 4 strand barbwire and in places it had some vertical boards shoring it up.  in short, the fence wasnt going to hold any livestock thats for sure.  i wishi had more precise directions, but it was about 5 km north of the hwy13 intersection.  the sign said exit to camrose and wetaskiwin.  it was on the west side of the road.

this isnt a joke.  i would love to hear a success story from someone here getting a piggy.  good luck boys.
