Hammerspur:

At this time of the year your job must become very stressful.  It is good that you have some chill out time. That is what keeps a person in contact with reality.

Take Care,

and Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Year. It has been a pleasure taking with all of ya this year. For people that need to work, I thank you, as more often than not your doing a job that keeps us safe, warm, healthy and able to be with our family at Christmas. I hope you find time to be with your family over the next few weeks.

I am working over the holidays this year will be home on Jan 3rd. We decided to celebrate Ukaranian Christmas this year. The kids were all doing the Inlaw thing this year so it works out OK for us. It was kind of self elected this year for working over. It was yes, then no then maybe. Finally I just told the boss, you know what, I can't work like that, we'll just work over and be done with it. Got a big meal planned for everyone on location including the rig hands. Momma made up 2 roasters of cabbage rolls (300) I'll be cooking, one of the Directional hands cooked up and cut up two turkeys and brought them in. Will be doing up mashed taters and gravy so we'll have a feast for everyone out here. It's all good, life of a righand lol.

Christmas Eve.   :)
That means fish, right.
So I am making a wild spring salmon steak with a lemon-dill butter sauce main dish for tonite.

Walleyes:  That is a lot of cabbage rolls. That is some kind of a super woman you have there.

Jimmy 808: That is a pretty cool video.  Unfortunately most of society does not realize the space program was developed from the extreme tolerances required in the oil industry. That video shows some the of extreme hi tech.

Cheers.  :)

Speaking of Christmas how did we all make out ? Let's hear of the new toys we all got to play with. I'll have to live vicariously through you guys until the 6th but still interested in the new gadgets.

Nice hand made hunting knife, 3 nice bottles of Scotch. And a trip to Las Vegas. I'm not big on LV, but my wife has never been and she really wanted to go. I have been down a few times for work, and it's not my thing, but it will be fun to see her have fun. Neither one of us gamble, but we will do a few shows and see the sites. Best part of Christmas was my two girls been home for a week.

Got a hand burned piece of art from the wife which I really like and an assortment of goodies including a stock pile of chubby darters for the tackle box.  One of my favourite lures and it doesn't suck half as a bad when you lose them if you didn't actually have to pay for them hehe.
Kids got mostly clothes and other boring stuff as the grand parents love to spoil them to the point of excess and our Christmas with the parents won't happen until later when everyone is home.
One of my favourites from this Christmas was watching the wife unwrap her new. 22.  Figured she had to have one to compliment the. 410 and. 17hmr.  Who doesn't have their own. 22?.
