Moose Hunting WMU 507
« on: September 14, 2014, 03:01:03 PM »
Greetings All, my 17 year old boy has been drawn in WMU 507 and this is his first opportunity to be drawn. We had plans to hunt with a friend who lived in the Barrhead area but unfortunately he was transferred with the RCMP this summer.
Now he's left without a spot to set up and a little disappointed. I am heading down that way next weekend to do some scouting but thought I would post a help wanted add here to see if possibly anyone had some advice or could assist in steering us in the right direction.
I have been hunting about 30 years and believe my boy is a far better hunter than what I was at his age. He'll be chaperoned by his Dad only and if we were successful, would be more than willing to share some of his harvest.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Dan if you don't get a response stop in and chat with that area Bio SRD ..just dial 310-0000 and ask for him/her at the Fish and Wildlife office ... and do a recon yourself

Good luck too your boy

Dan don't know the area but anywhere you can get in around the river should be good.
