Motorhome is winterized
« on: September 29, 2017, 03:37:32 PM »
Yup just finished our last camping trip of the year.Went back to Fickle lake and the weather was great.
Fishing was not so great, found lots of hammer handle pike but couldn't find the walleye anywhere. The guy camped beside us said that he was there two weeks ago and couldn't keep the walleye off his hook but now he couldn't find them either.

Oh well it was still a fun trip except for one little thing. The water pump on the old shaggin' wagon went on hwy #16 just before Millers lake.We have AMA so the tow bill didn't cost us anything but the repair bill at Jerry Ford was $1069..ouch. :o
Most of that was labour but I gotta give a shout out to the mechanic at Jerry ford cause he worked on it till 7:30 pm just to get us going. ;)

One evening about 10 pm we had a fish cop come to our campsite and said that they had a report about someone in a white GM truck with a tinner in the back that was supposed to be poaching.I told him that we heard a boat running across the lake about a half hour earlier and said to my wifey that this guy should have running lights when he's out after dark.
Warden thanked me and gave me his card and asked to call him if we see anything..

Nice to see the boys out looking for poachers......anyway here's a couple of pics

Hey Sonny:

Thanks for the pix.

Just wondering how much that tow job  out of Millers would have been without AMA?

Thanks for reminding me to renew my membership that expires in October.

$150 hook up fee plus $3 per km..which would have been 36 km x 3 = $108 + $150 = $258..

Nice pics Sonny. Another summer gone for us and we didn't make it out camping, can't believe it. That darn yard of ours man its unreal, if I'm not at work I'm at home working on that yard, it's getting to be a real pain in the ass. Something has to change because it's just to much work.
