My first attempt at building a website
« on: January 28, 2012, 04:42:05 PM »
I've spent some spare time the last two weekends building a website for our sheep farm.

Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out and critique it.

Looking good Doug.
Where did you get the software? How much?

Thanks!

Was through webnames.ca There are different packages depending on service levels, terms etc. For me, it was $75 for the domain name, hosting, and one year term.

I think it looks real nice.  Not sure the market you're after but if you want people to find you, possibly a map?  About the only suggestion I could think of.

Yes- that is a good idea. I was kicking the idea around, I'm just not sure from a security standpoint if that's a good idea. What I've done with other customers is to email a map, or provide directions when a sale is made. Maybe I'm being overly cautious?
