My Project On My Days Off.
« on: May 27, 2013, 09:19:22 PM »
Got one of my projects done on days off. Spent pretty much 7 days at it pretty much solo. The oldest boy came out the first day and helped me with the beam and we got it framed, and momma helped me the last day with the aluminum railing other than that a pretty much a solo job.

Started right from scratch as most know its a new house so no existing work was done. Dimensions are 8' x 42'. All framed in treated 2 x 8 then covered in 5/4 cedar decking. Steps are double built pretty much, with treated word underneath and again all covered in cedar. Corner posts are all 6 x 6 cedar that were 12 footers that I cut to length then set inside the frame and lag bolted through double framed treated wood,, solid as rock.

Very happy with the outcome.

Treat each day as your last; one day you will be right.

Any time boys,, and I mean that. I have 70 acres, lots of room for R.V's. Wouldn't that be cool,, the A.S. Cold Lake, Lake Trout tournament. Something to look at for next summer maybe..
