New to Alberta Sportsman
« on: July 11, 2016, 11:51:22 AM »
Hey guys and gals,

I am new to the forum, so I thought I would take some time and introduce myself. I am a male, 28 years old, I like long walks on the beach... haha jk. Married with two young daughters (2.5 years and 9 months). Born and raised in Calgary, old man immigrated from India in the early 70's.

I have been rifle hunting for about 4 years now. No one every in my family has ever hunted, so it was something I got into by myself. I bought my first pellet gun from Canadian Tire when I was 18 and used it on the gophers on our acreage. After a few years, I thought I would try my hand at hunting bigger game. I completed the PAL courses, got my hunter certification and have been at it ever since.

I have been a member of another forum for a few years now (some of you may have been kicked out of it). I tend to keep quiet on there because it seems like most people are there just to whine and b*tch.

Anyways, looking forward to getting to know some of you guys and gain some more knowledge.

Welcome Buck , you are partially right , a few members on AS were extricated from
Another forum for their albeit legitimate differing views. I myself have had occasionally
some difficulty towing the party line . But lots of us  choose to be here .
As a somewhat novice Hunter feel free to ask as many questions about our sport as you like .

AS is in a growing mode and definitely a little more relaxed atmosphere here. We are all grateful
to Paul for giving us somewhere to hang out .🆗

Welcome,I am relatively new here as well but you have came to the right place if you value quality over quantity.
I wasted a few years at that other site as well but could not tolerate it any longer.

Get any draws this year?

I was drawn for a mule buck this year, and I just 999 everything else to build some priority. Not sure how often I will be able to get out this year due to an ever increasing caseload at work.

Now that is a high-risk Investment but quite profitable or so I hear which means you're buying the next round.
