New Toy.
« on: May 30, 2015, 08:03:34 PM »
Picked up a new addition for the toy box today. Not a new unit but I wanted something nice and lite for behind the quads to use for getting into some of the backwoods lakes. Nice little unit, got it from a retired guy from Edmonton he had it out in Ashmont so it was a close drive for me.

Its an 83 Lund 12' with Merc 9.8. All in exceptional shape. He had it since new and took care of his stuff. He bought a case of mixing oil when he bought the boat and still had 2 jugs left over that he through in. New tires and rims with bearing buddies, anchor, ropes, tie downs, 5 life jackets, floor covered in throw carpets, ours, boat cover all in $2300.00

Hey Walleyes I like the idea of a thread where people can post pics of their new toys..

Can the rest of us post pics in this thread of our new toys?

Having one thread for all of us to share our new goodies would be kinda cool. :)

Good deal!  I have been racking my brain on what I can use rock guard/wrap for that the guys leave all over the p/l row when we build them, now I know!  Let me know how it is for standing on in the boat.

Sam has been out on the boat almost every night since we brought it home he is enjoying it. It runs like a top,, one pull start, idles and trolls like a dream,, a real good buy this one was. Not a complaint on the purchase. I put some rod holders on it for him today, a nice fish chain, a good fish measuring decal,, it's a nice little fishing machine for him, he loves it.

Just seeing Sam out on it so much is worth it for me,, worth every penny. Hey,, you don't want them running around town,, got to give them an option right...

My grand father fished Campbell river in one of those for years.

Even lived to tell about it.

Picked this little unit up the other day for our decoys. It's a used one got it at under half price of new. Used only a few times. Inside dimensions are 4 x 6.5'. This way we can keep our decoys in it ready to go at all times just hook up and go. We run about 10 dozen goose and 5 dozen duck decoys and they fit in fine,, enough room for I would say another 2 or 3 dozen shells easy.

I built the top shelf in it to hold our fold up blinds,, we put 4 in it no sweat. I also built in a gun rack as you can see. Nice snug fit on the bottom and snapped in with a bungee on the top. Pretty slick little unit.

Beauty little trailer.  Im looking for one for the exact same thing, although I may need a little bigger with the amount of dekes and stuff I have.  Also contemplating whether or not I should get one I can fit a couple quads in and a couple of mountain sleds.  If anyone sees any good deals for a little guy like that or one that's in the 20 foot range let me know.  Its nice to have a little trailer like that I can keep all my ice fishing gear in to instead of having to put it in and out of the truck all the time.  Just a pain in the a** when there gets to be lots of snow.
