First off, there will always be a % of people who will cause a bit of trouble on a forum like this.  Lets say it is 1%.  So when the forum had 100 members there was one..."person with poor behaviour".  That is not too hard to deal with.

When the forum population goes up to 800 there will be 8  &*%%$#$ morons who are not really easy to deal with.  At that point there is a greater need for rules and moderators to enforce the rules.



I really do not agree with the old thumpers mum saying "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.  Well you should try and say it in a "nice" way but if you disagree with a post it should be ok to say so in a reasonable manner.  And the original poster should be able to respond in a reasonable manner.

Deerman is correct, douchebaggery ratio is directly relative and linear to number of members, it's a science, although the real ratio is about .25 per 100

So if .25 per 100 is a douchebag

with 1000 members you will have 2.5 douchebags (meaning 2 will be douchebags all the time and 1 will be a douchebag about half the time)

with 10000 members you will have 25 (which could mean 20 full time douchebags and 10 part timers)

and so on and so forth...
