Pretty Quiet Lately.
« on: July 11, 2017, 09:53:21 PM »
It's  been pretty quiet on the site the last few days boys what's up. Personally been flat out at work again I've had no time but am headed home in the morning for a couple weeks. Not much to do this time around at home just the lawn and a few minor things going to try and take it easy and enjoy some summer this time out. The boy and I are planning on hitting Makwa on Sat so I will have some pics up then. Going to hit Cold Lake a couple days for lakers as well.

It's good in a way to see the site slower in the summer, means people are actually out there and getting it done.

The dog days of summer ....the fishing sorta sucks .
After years of being annoyed I decided to have my
Carpal Tunnel issues fixed , had the left wrist done
About a week ago, feeling came back immediately ,
Going to have the right done next week , my iPad
pecking hand , will be very slow after that ....lol .
It will all be good for the hunting season .....yay .

Ive been flat out with work.  Have 4 pipeline builds on the go that are keeping me working 14 hours a day.  Did manage to sneak to the coast for 3 days but that's literally all the fishing ive done.  I doubt my boat will come out of storage unless its to sell it to fund a Dall sheep hunt or jet boat.  Have been trying to sneak across the border into Alberta near Bonanza and baytree to do some whitetail and elk scouting in hopes I can arrow one this fall while up here working in Dawson.

Work, daughters wedding and just seems the summer is flying . Headed to the hills in a few weeks so maybe it will slow down some. But hunting season is coming fast so that's ok. Last month and a half the only story I could tell you all here would be, work, sleep and repeat.

One thing I have been doing lately is a lot of gardening.  Wow, the old garden is good this year.
Been picking beans, peas, onions, new potatoes, spinach, swisschard, carrots, and beets already.  Squashes are the size of footballs already.
With this rain now, things are going to produce like nuts.
Raspberry and Nanking cherry picking on the weekend.

I have a batch of cherry/raspberry wine in the primary now.  It smells good.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

That's a goodie, my daughters play that to me. But they call me the old Cowboy Red Neck who can't adjust to modern times. Peace in your garden man, fair out, and cool. That's all the hippy I know.

I would like to lower a huge "Republic of Alberta" flag half way down the Palisades before you hit the townsite of Jasper.
