I've been busy with work and our young daughter, we're spending more time in parks with slides and swings than ones with trees and wildlife. She loves both though and hope to get a day or two of scouting in soon as I'm working on a new hunting spot around here. Just need to wait on the OHV ban to be lifted.

Yup lots of takers but few makers..  :(

But I'll just leave this here and I hope it pumps you up for hunting season. ;)

Sonny:

Thanks for the elk post.

Did it pump me up for hunting season?  Nope.  Those cool late August mornings tell me I better get prepared. ;) :D

Here is another item I always wondered about in your backyard.  It refers to those mouth watering burgers at the Hinton L&W ;D.

Just where does that L&W burger meat come from. ;).  Think about it. The L&W back door is located  right next to the CNR tracks.  People who I know who work on locomotives at the Calder Yards in Edmonton say they have to clean a disproportionate amount of moose off those huge diesel monsters that come in from the Jasper yard.

Where did the elk go? ;)  Just Saying. ;) :) :) :)

I know you are going to have a good reply to above statement.  He He He He. ;D

I got nothing except I vaguely remember something about a restaurant here in Hinton being charged with using wild game in their menu. This was about 30 plus years ago.

Maybe another Hinton member can chime in if they remember this.

So let me get this right..

A lot of new members here bitch and complain about the "other" place..

And now you want "them from there" to come "here"

But if that happens then "here" will become the same as "there" which you bitch about.

A wise man once said becareful about what you wish for because you just might get it.. ;)

If I remember correctly they where using fish that was caught up north, I don't remember anything about meat.
