Some pics I got of a storm last night at my place.  Ended up dumping about 3 inches on my place in an hour.

Hope it didn't do much damage...A fellow that I work with had a couple feet of water in his place near Eckville

No but it destroyed all my hard work on the landscaping.  Another day and I would have the sprinkler heads in and the seed planted.  Will set me back another week or so.

Those are some pretty cool storm pics Weste.  The dogs know were to be, right in front of the wood stove.

Really? I didn't like it that much. I bought it out of the states when it was the "in thing" to bring cars up.

I had one of those Scion box looking vans I brought from Denver, wish I had a pic I loved that thing till I got rear ended on Gaetz ave with it lol, looked a lot like this

I followed this thread for about 2 pages than never opened it until tonight. Whow didn't know what I was missing, these photos are absolutely amazing!

Hopefully I can get a few up soon, if I can stay off goggle earth. I've been studying and marking the lakes and 1/4's in the areas I plan to fish and hunt. Transfering way points from GPS to earth, etc.

Great pics guys.  I had a thought though while looking at them.  I personally would liek to know a bit about the camera you are using and at what settings if possible.  I'm still on the hunt for a camera

I will tell you what camera Not to buy for outdoor and wildlife photography and that is the Canon PowerShot SX130...The two reasons that I have found are:
1 - Does not have a optical viewfinder instead it has the "TTL" or "Through-The-Lens" viewing using the LCD screen...
2 - LCD for framing shortens the battery life...Need to take lots of batteries with you

Since the majority of the pictures that I take are wildlife and general outdoors, to frame accurately in sunlight condition is very difficult because you cannot see the LCD screen...Also action shots (i.e. running, birds flying) are very hard to locate with the LCD screen...When using the zoom for those "long" distance shots, a small movement of yours hands and the subject is out of the frame...

Started thinking about moose hunting now that the draws are in.. here are a couple from our grounds up north..

Looking at these pics I can smell the rotting leaves and the rotting cranberries on the ground,, feel the warm sun as it rises over the tree tops,,, ahhh does it get any better ??

The pembina river is running high and quite muddy. Residents in the town of Barrhead have had a few houses with flooded basements. The gravel road 2 kilometres east of Dolberg Lake has had a minor flooding. The area is quite soft and warning signs are there. Some of the farms in the county of Barrhead have had there land flooded.

The canon rebel comes highly recommended. I am looking at buying the combo deal that comes with regular lens and zoom lens. Check out the cameras at your favourite photo shop...
