I just returned from a week long conference in Orlando Florida where the temperature was over 90 each day with 90% humidity...I really didn't enjoy that humidity :o

Used my cell phone camera for this picture

I pulled all my stands down last weekend and here's a few pics

Saw a set of tracks going past the first stand that looked human at first turned out to be a grizz

I've seen grizzlies, wolves and cougars from this spot

Put in a lot of hours on that seat

It's like they know the season was over, the bull just stood there as my dogs were bouncing around me.

Here's a scan of a pic I took this pic with a disposable camera while out scouting for sheep. You don't see elk like that up there any more.

Ran into a wolverine 10 minutes later. That was a rodeo.

Here's a pic I took while driving through town with my family. I used this pic in Hazard Recognition classes to demonstrate a VERY unsafe situation.

I saw this and the old adage about being your bothers keeper kicked in. I snapped it QUICK (for training purposes) and stopped to have a conversation with the fellow. He was rewiring the trailer. He was on the pail with his body positioned under the trailer and laying under the trailer at times. We talked about what would happen if the trailer slipped on forks or the jack failed. His reply was he would die. He was old and lived a good life already.  :o

As you can imagine I could not accept that. I offered to help put some timbers under the trailer (there were STACKS of railway ties right around the corner from the trailer) or work out another safer alternative. He refused my help and pleasantly asked me to leave so he could continue. I did, but a block away I couldn't take it any more and turned around. I didn't want to read about a fatality in the paper. When i swung by again, he had lowered the forks and was putting blocking under the trailer.
